Washington Underfoot

The George Washington Ambassador has been on the run in February—George Washington’s Birthday month.  She has traveled 2, 734 miles around the state of Oklahoma (that is almost the distance from Mount Vernon to San Francisco!).  The ambassador has been to Seminole, Pleasant Grove, Enid, Wanette, Verdigris, Edmond (twice), Oakdale, Sand Springs, Oklahoma City (several times in our capital), Stroud, Howe, Comanche, and Plainview.  Thank goodness her husband, Michael, gave her a pair of George Washington KEDS for Valentines.  Although the ambassador was hesitant to wear these for school presentations, she took the plunge (After all, Martha Washington wore those cool purple heels for her wedding.). The shoes were a hit!  Both Comanche and Plainview students thought the shoes were AWESOME!   So in March, April, and May if you see a lady running into a school with George Washington sneakers, you can bet it is the George Washington Oklahoma Teaching Ambassador hoofing it to her next appearance.  Who knows?  Maybe she has started a trend that will be ALL THE RAGE!
Note:  The ambassador wants to give her former student, Reagan, credit for showing her where to find the GW KEDS.

You pull off those shoes fabulously! Very very nice. :D I'm sure you'll have George Washington enthusiasts all over the state sporting those KEDS pretty soon.

  2. Vicki Says:

LOVE the shoes! Congratulations on the impressive article in the Tulsa World today - wonderful review of your hard work. CHS misses you, but so many more children are reaping the benefit of your expertise.
